Last
Saturday saw both our A grade and B grade games completely
washed out. A grade was playing Woodbridge at Woodbridge while B
grade hosted Margate.
On Sunday our
young C grade team took on another youthful team in Snug at
home. Although we played with only 10 players we were able to
dismiss Snug for 115 in the 27th over. Dean Heywood
3/26, Steve Matthews 3/30 and Shane Hall 2/18 were the chief
wicket takers while Gab Lefleur and Daniel Woodhead each claimed
a scalp.
Led by opener
Manning Parkinson who scored a terrific 66no we were able to
overtake their total in the 30th over for the loss of
3 wickets.
On Tuesday 9th
December the Crows ensured their place in the Grand Final of the
Twenty20 competition against Slab Road by claiming 2 bonus
points in their clash with Kettering at Kettering. With Ash
Woodhead and Dale Punshon each claiming 3 wickets and Jamie
Knott and Dan Elliott 2 each we were able to restrict them to
49. Dan, Mal Godfrey and Marc Owen then peeled off those runs in
the 5th over.
The Grand
Final is to be held at Slab Road on Tuesday 16th
December.
Congratulations to Dan, Bianca and Campbell Elliott on the
arrival of Isabel Grace.
