Hi
All,
Welcome to all the new and old junior cricketers for the 2012/13
season.
For
those who don't know me, my name is Marc Owen and I am the Junior
Development Officer for the Kingston Crows. My boys Cameron and
Mitchell both play too.
This
notice will give some information for the season and important info
you may or may not know.

WHAT
WILL THE BOYS NEED
Each
boy will require his own protector or box (for his private parts
mums) and some white cricket pants. Sportsco Kingston or Big W have
these.
The
boys will receive a new Kingston Crows playing top and a red cap for
the new players. Drink, snack etc too.
We
supply a kit with all the protective equipment like bats, pads,
helmets etc. The boys like to have some of their own gear as they
get better and these make good Chrissy presents as they are all
reasonably cheap to buy.
REGISTRATION
Below
is a copy of the registration form. Please print, fill out and bring
it along to training with a cheque or cash. The fees are $95.00 for
the season which covers the cost of the playing shirt to keep (
cost around $40 ) balls, ground hire, insurances, score books, gear,
etc, etc.

SUPER
SESSIONS
We
are going to have a couple of super sessions for all the kids to
come along to with an aim to sharpen up their skills during the
Christmas school holidays. I will advise when these will happen.
COACHES and SCORERS / UMPIRES
As in
all junior sport, parent help is imperative to the running
of cricket matches and training. If you would like to assist with
any of the above, please let me know asap. We do have some coaches
organized already but always need more.
FUNDRAISING CHOCKIES
Just
after Christmas we will be giving out some Cadbury fundraising
chockies for each boy to sell, or as we do, eat and buy. These funds
go directly to the trophies and presentation nights for the kids to
enjoy.
HUON AND CHANNEL REPRESENTATIVE SIDE
Attached is a flyer for the above to. Its for boys in grades 4-6. I
will be conducting some indoor net sessions over these school
holidays for the extra keen kids so if anyone would like their son
to try out for it and would like to join in, please let me know. Its
about $5 per session to cover the cost of the net and bowling
machine. Try outs for the team are as follows -
Tuesday 2nd October 4:30-6:00pm at the Snug Oval.
That's a lot of information to take in sorry.
Please let me know if there's any other questions either by e-mail
msowen@bigpond.net.au or 0413 012468.
Looking forward to a great season of the worlds best sport.
Cheers
